I try to let go of assumptions, but that’s very difficult. My assumption is that I’m not alone in that.
This morning, I started making assumptions as soon as I woke up. For example, when I saw this …

… I made the assumption that today was Arbor Day. It’s not.

I also made the assumption that today’s blog would be difficult to write. It’s not.
Do you see assumptions in my other images for today?

What assumptions did you make when you were looking at those pictures?
Here’s what I find when I search YouTube for assumptions:
I also find this:

If people have assumptions that I’ll be ending this post with gratitude, you’re right!

I see I can further appreciate my dear wife Karen today for taking on and keeping the added role of my hair stylist since the pandemic, as well as nod to my former co-workers at the library. My appreciation for my wife and the library staffers of course don’t need a designated day, but I’ll take the extra step.
My assumptions about your appreciation for others are correct, my friend.
I like those cards with the ship on them that you posted at the end of your entry today, Ann.
I like those too, especially because I’ll be on a boat all next week.
It is safe to assume that I love the fortune from that cookie
It is safe to assume that I love that too, beth.

I have begun to assume that your blog will be in my mailbox every morning. You have become someone with whom I can have a bit of conversation. Thank you!
Thank you, Barbara!
My favorite sculpture is not here.
Michelangelo’s Pieta. I saw it when displayed at the World’s Fair in N.Y. in 1965.

Thanks for sharing that, Alan.
I am returning to this post, I think, and am very moved by Kathe Kollwitz’s sculpture.
My assumption is that you know how much I appreciate however you return here, Maureen.
