Day 4646: You Don’t Scare Me

I sang “You Don’t Scare Me “ in Brookline yesterday and wasn’t scared when

  • my reserved parking space was full,
  • a phone rep from SpotHero took me on a wild goose chase to find another spot,
  • somebody at the protest in Brookline said she was one of the organizers and told me to stop singing,
  • other people who were organizers overruled her and told me to keep sharing my music,
  • an unfriendly guy kept taking pictures of me when I was singing,
  • I connected with many strangers,
  • I handed out “Singing Therapist” cards with links to my music,
  • I returned to the second parking lot to find that my car had been towed,
  • I called SpotHero and was told that the phone rep had told me to park in the wrong spots,
  • I spoke to the police and the tow company who were kind of scary,
  • I took a Lyft to go to the scary towing company,
  • I had a very interesting conversation with the scary owner of the tow company which ended in my giving him my “Singing Therapist Card” and comparing IQ’s, and
  • I cried at dinner with Michael as I told him about my day.

You don’t scare me, scary world!

I wasn’t scared to get this text message after I had retrieved my car.
I wasn’t scared to admire those fabulous earrings and to share an old video of my son Aaron in his jellyfish costume for Halloween.
You don’t scare me, numbers!

.

You don’t scare me, September 21, 2025!

Here’s “You Don’t Scare Me” …

… and Aaron’s old jellyfish costume.

You don’t scare me, YouTube, when you give me this new error message when I try to share videos.

.

I am so grateful to people who don’t scare me, including YOU!

Day 4548: No Kings

I went to two No Kings protests in Massachusetts yesterday that were very well attended, despite the rain.

Here is a quote from an Axios article about yesterday’s No Kings protests throughout the USA:

At both No Kings protests I attended we stood at intersections with our signs and there was so much horn honking in solidarity that it was difficult for people to hear my protest song “You Don’t Scare Me.” No kings and no noise will ever stop me; people who could hear my song liked it and even sang along. Somebody at my second No Kings protest told me, “I asked AI to write a protest song last night and it was pretty good but yours is better!”

Here are the images I collected on No Kings Saturday.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “No Kings“ on YouTube:

.

Thanks to all who are here for this No Kings blog post, including YOU!

Day 3767: Assumptions

I try to let go of assumptions, but that’s very difficult. My assumption is that I’m not alone in that.

This morning, I started making assumptions as soon as I woke up. For example, when I saw this …

… I made the assumption that today was Arbor Day. It’s not.

I also made the assumption that today’s blog would be difficult to write. It’s not.

Do you see assumptions in my other images for today?

What assumptions did you make when you were looking at those pictures?

Here’s what I find when I search YouTube for assumptions:

I also find this:

.

If people have assumptions that I’ll be ending this post with gratitude, you’re right!
