Day 3766: Taking a chance

I’m taking a chance that there will be some good quotes about taking a chance out there.

Next week I’ll be taking a chance and going on a river cruise in Europe for the first time. I don’t want to take a chance with my health so I’ll be packing my INR monitoring device and additional medicine in case my INR goes too low. I don’t want to take a chance of having another Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) like I did when I was traveling in September.

I also don’t want to take a chance with our cat Joan’s eye problem which is not getting better, so I’m going to call the vet today.

Am I taking a chance with any of my other images for today?

Looks like the Daily Bitch is taking a chance with pizza.

I hope you’ll be taking a chance to hear this great song about taking a chance on love.

.

Thanks to all who are taking a chance, including YOU!

I’ve always wanted to do one of those!

  5. May your European river cruise fulfill all your expectations for fun and learning, Ann.
I hope your wise vet has another treatment up his sleeve for Joan’s eye woes to ease that worry before you leave.

    • Thank you, Mark. I picked up some new medicated eye drops for Joan yesterday and we’re hoping she gets better before I leave.

  7. just in case, when meeting strangers, tell a friend, and if going up high, bring a spare parachute, or if sailing, a hold me up float that is around your waist, cheers

  8. “It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept …” May the rivers of Europe never allow your boat to run aground. 🙂

  9. I just took a chance on asking someone why they were the third person I’ve seen today get out at the fifth floor of my building by asking, “Is there a party going on in the garage?”
They were confused by the question but now they have a story to tell.

  10. I’m so glad you’re not taking chances with Miss Joan. I hope the Vet was available to you today. And it occurred to me while reading this that “chance” and “risk” feel so closely aligned. I generally avoid risk, but feel like taking a chance on something is more easily navigated. Maybe it’s all in the way I “pre-load” my expectations, and I might try loosening up a bit. 😉

  11. enjoy your float and I think we take a chance of life each and every day
