Today is Get Organized Day!

If left to my own devices, the spaces I inhabit do not seem organized. For years, I judged myself for that because of messages like these:

Then, when I was in my late 20s and dissatisfied with my job as a writer in high tech, I got organized enough to take a battery of helpful aptitude tests. Among other life-changing information, I learned that I didn’t need to keep my environment organized because I have an unusually organized mind. Since then, I don’t judge the ways I’m organized.
Now it’s time to get the rest of my images for today organized for you.

It looks like the Daily Bitch has organized her recycling.
Here’s what I find when I search for “organized” on YouTube.
Now I’m thinking about all the time I’ve saved by NOT being that organized.
I also like the way the universe is organized so that I’m posting this photo from our vet’s office on Administrative Professionals Day:

Thanks to all who help me be organized enough to organize this blog every day, including YOU!

I just today noticed that your redone bathroom’s sink-back tile reminds me of a typing keyboard, Ann, and that still and always, I hope, puts my mind in an organized mode.
I like that organized connection, my friend.
I hope that you are enjoying the “goodbye stress” bubble bath in your comfy deep tub, in your newly finished bathroom.
I like the way your comment is organized, Maureen.
I *love* your Carl Jung Action Figure. I have a Crazy Cat Lady Action figure, but alas I have no more cats. In organizational news, I have never been diagnosed with ADHD, but my daughter has and we both agree I have it in spades. My solution: Lists. I make lists. Also do things in small segments. I got my entire Seattle house boxed up and ready to go in five months packing just one thing a day. Not to mention writing three novels.
I *love* your comments, Barbara.
Disorganized
but then Reorganized
and Prioritized
Harmonized
and Immortalized
Have a great trip!
Please send images of the beautiful scenery!
I will do my best to organize that, Maria, and thanks for the poem!
I’m a ‘piles, not files’ person’ by nature and it will probably be that way forever. I’ve gotten to a minimalist-ish state after moving to my condo, and happy with having less to deal with and find )
I love the “piles, not files” phrase, beth, and I’m not surprised that you and I are organized in a similar way!
