Day 3753: Huggable

Last night, after I unexpectedly saw a huggable animal at the end of a difficult day at work, I asked this question on Twitter:

I didn’t hug that huggable kitty who was lounging on the top of a car in the lot where I had parked for my hectic and challenging day at the hospital. However, hanging out with that cat helped me feel more huggable.

I don’t know why human beings often feel less huggable when we are stressed out or in emotional distress — the very times when we would benefit greatly from hugs.

I do know that when I got home from work I asked my husband Michael for a hug, which helped me feel more huggable.

Do you see anything huggable in my other images for today?

No matter how you feel about lawyers, there are many huggable things on that list today, including “Louie Louie” which inspired my huggable son when he was a very huggable 12 year old.

Thanks to all the huggable creatures who help me blog every day, including YOU!

Day 3226: The best thing about human beings

Last night, this human being asked other human beings on Twitter this best question about human beings:

I think the best thing, here and now, is to share some of the answers from human beings.

.

Do you see best things about human beings in any of the other images in today’s post?

Maybe the best thing about human beings is knock-knock jokes, and that’s my best segue to the best knock-knock joke made up by my best (and only) son, Aaron:

Knock, knock.

Who’s there?

The town detective.

The town detective who?

I’ll be asking the questions around here.

The best thing about Halloween, for me, is that was the day I met the best human being named Michael, who is now my husband.

The best thing about human beings, said one human being above, is music, so here’s a best song from one of the answers.

What do you think is the best thing about human beings?

A best thing about human beings is the ability to express and receive appreciation, so thanks to all of the best human beings who visit this blog, including YOU!

Day 2639: Nuts! We’re all nuts!

Hello, my fellow nuts!  Today’s title is inspired by the very first photo I took yesterday:

IMG_2358

We’re all nuts because people are still

  • ignoring requests from governments to maintain social distancing,
  • hoarding certain provisions,
  • acting in old ways in the face of major new realities, and
  • personalizing, labeling, minimizing, magnifying, blaming, fortune-telling, mind-reading, negative-filtering, and all those other nutty cognitive distortions.

I hope that we nuts can figure out how to save ourselves and the planet before it’s too late, so we can keep being nuts together in less nutty ways.

All my photos today are nuts!

If you’re nuts about any of those photos, you can click on them to enlarge them.

Here‘s one of my favorite songs about how we’re all nuts (from before the days of social distancing):

If you’re nuts like me, please leave a comment below.

I am grateful to share this nutty blog with you, every day!
