Day 4704: If it can’t be solved

Whatever it is, if it can’t be solved, I can get frustrated and discouraged.

Yesterday, “it” included ongoing problems with doing notes for my in-person therapy groups, other technology-related problems, the annoying clicking noises in my head when I speak, getting a referral for a visit tomorrow with a doctor about those pesky noises, AND the political situation in the USA.

If it can’t be solved, it helps to write about it here and to share my images for the day.

.

If it can’t be solved by normal means, some people turn to the occult.

Here’s what I find when I search for “if it can’t be solved” on YouTube:

If it can’t be solved, I am still grateful for YOU.

Like him or not, Theodore Roosevelt had a distinctive approach to solving problems. “The best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing you can do is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.” Admittedly, I have not followed this in all facets of life but I have employed it a great deal. And I am better off for it.

Recipe memorized: My grandmother’s pierogi. Along the way, I have altered it a bit but the base recipe is the foundation. Otherwise, wow, I rarely use recipes except when I am trying something new. I went to culinary school and about midway through, recipes just became guardrails. My kitchen time is more akin to a witch standing over the cauldron. My problem is I am so into inventing I forget to write down the basics. I need to be more diligent about that.

If it can’t be solved, transfer it to tomorrow’s to-do list. If possible, this can go on for as long as you want. When you’re lucky, something to do will occur to you by tomorrow. And so forth.

  3. I zeroed in on today being “Mickey Mouse Day.” Mickey represents a little whimsy in this all-too-serious life of mine… and I relish the chance to get silly and embrace the comical! Thank you, Walt!!

  4. I’ve never thought about it but I’ve memorized quite a few recipes. Being able to cook is a good way to be a supportive spouse to a Scorpio.

  5. I think I improv most of them, especially when making soups, unless I’m baking which is more of an exact science

  6. From what I’ve seen, Ann, you are quite good at solutions.

  7. If it can’t be solved, go get a chocolate bar, or a cup of coffee or tea!
