In this blog and elsewhere, I try to be thoughtful about how I’m putting myself in the picture.
If I’m putting myself in the picture to the exclusion of others OR if I’m excluding myself too much, I can feel guilt and shame.
Over the years, I’ve tried to let go of shame and guilt about how I’ve been putting myself in the picture.
Let’s see how I’m putting myself in the picture today.

Here’s what I find when I search for “putting myself in the picture” on YouTube.

Finally, I’m putting myself in the picture in my usual way to express gratitude to YOU!

i did receive your email about your new release last night and I’m definitely going to add it to my collection of purchased Ann Koplow songs!
You asked us to name our favorite fast foods. As a vegetarian, I haven’t really had much in the way of fast foods to pick from. But recently, A&W in Canada started carrying a spicy masala veggie burger as well as a regular veggie burger that are both delicious. They’ve long had a vegetarian burger that simulated meat, Beyond Burger or impossible burger, I’m not sure which. But I was never fond of those because they didn’t taste very good and they did look like hamburger. But the new veggie burgers really appeal to people who like veggie burgers! And so for the first time in my life I could say have a fast food favorite and it is A&w’s Masala Crispy Burger.
in Canada, McDonald’s also has a new vegetarian burger that is veggie-forward, unlike their earlier patty. It’s also pretty good. Unfortunately, these don’t seem to be available in the states yet and I am often in Seattle so I hope they show up there soon.
For homemade quick meals, I like frozen blueberries, microwaved, with cottage cheese.
Thank you for all of this, Maureen!
I’m with the Daily Bitch. I didn’t begin to gain weight until my 60’s – before that, the most I’d weighed was when pregnant with my daugher, 135. Then I quit smoking and substituted chocolate and cream sauces for nicotine. Plump and plumper. I fought it at first, but now I just think it’s good to be warmer in Wisconsin in the winter. Lord knows there’s enough out there worth worrying about without adding my looks. I do try to remember to smile at times when it seems I’m going to literally be in the picture. Weight leveled off, so why not look happy about it? 🙂
I love the way you put yourself in the picture today, Barbara.
glad you put yourself out there or in there (which kind of mean the same thing)! why not? we are who we are.
I’m so glad you are who you are, beth.
At first your pictures weren’t showing up—all I saw was a blank screen which I thought was a funny way to put myself in the picture. Many years ago I made an art piece out of broken mirror pieces I glued to a sparkly background. I don’t like to explain art but I hoped people would see themselves in it and like what they saw.
And now I’m craving a Filet-o-fish.
Thanks for putting yourself in the picture, Chris.
I got a chuckle from the guy who said rabbit is his favorite fast food, Ann.
Me too, Mark.
Yay for putting yourself in the picture, Anne ☀️🤗
Back at you, Carol Anne!
