Day 4526: Success!

Success! I made it to NYC and some people I met on the train said they would attend my Open Mic tomorrow in Brooklyn. I’m going to feel like a success even if they can’t make it because we had so much fun connecting yesterday.

I used to believe that success needed perfection but I believe this blog post will be a success even though I forgot to take pictures of the Daily Bitch calendar for today (and for Monday). Also, I mistakenly took the my ukulele without the strap, but I think I can still be a success tomorrow even if I’m sitting down when I’m singing “Everybody’s Somebody’s Asshole” and my protest song.

And I feel like a success because I got a ticket to see the very successful Sondheim review “Old Friends” today!

Do you see success in my images?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for success on YouTube.

.

Thanks to all who help me feel like a success, including YOU!

  1. Enjoy it all, Ann!

Me and the Daily Bitch. Yesterday’s FB post: “Gee, I’m kinda wondering if ignoring climate change will just make it go away. It never worked on any of my other problems, but there’s always a first time, right?”

However, I was unsuccessful in getting a Real ID yesterday. Seems the documents that linked my current name to my birth name were not adequate. I need marriage certificates (it would take two) or a current passport. I had an expired one, showing that the government thought I was a citizen when they gave that one to me. Also was told that a Real ID is not necessary to get a passport, so will apply for a new one. And then they will believe I am a citizen? Because the gov. will take my word for it? Ahh. Bureau-crazy.

  3. I wish you every success, ann –

  4. You’ve made it to New York, and to The New Yorker. You’ll make it there, you’ll make it anywhere!

  5. Lots of exciting things going on for you, Ann! I am glad.
