  1. Working as a journalist so much of my professional life, Ann, I came across many perfectionists … yes, when I looked in the mirror, too. Yet decades of editing and being edited brought the hard lesson that there’s a difference between being correct and being perfect.

  2. Perfect post Anne! xoxo

I was perfectly unhappy to leave Seattle 7 years ago. Then, after settling into this little house in Madison, I was surprised to find myself perfectly happy and content. But this was about four years ago, and now I find myself in a perfect pickle watching my party losing its mind over Joe’s imperfections. There must be some (perfect) way outta here!

  4. I love seeing all those photos of other people’s pets.

We have a slightly unsociable older rescue cat who has decided that we must bring her dinner to her, wherever she is when she calls for it. She’s on a special diet so we carefully mash it up with water in her little bowl and then walk it to the hallway or living room or playroom and plop it in front of her on a napkin.

I am not sure whether this is perfect behavior for a cat or perfect behavior on my part, but it works pretty well and she has plumped up a little bit. Well, so have I.

  5. Pets are perfect. Incorporating them into our lives is one of the smartest things our species did.

  6. I can’t do perfect, as it takes to much energy, and not sure anyone can really achieve then anyway- but I do try to be a good person, it takes way less energy, and zero worry, and that anyone can do –
