Day 4146: Discouraged

Sometimes, I get discouraged. As with any experience, I know I’m not alone.

Are you discouraged by any of my images for today?

.

Here’s the tune Chris Delyani (see above) listens to when he gets discouraged:

.

I also find this when I search for “discouraged” on YouTube.

What are your thoughts and feelings about this “discouraged” post?

Thanks to all those who help when I get discouraged, including YOU!

  1. Ann, I am sorry to read that you are feeling discouraged. I don’t know what the antidote to discouragement is for you, and even if I did I probably couldn’t provide it because I live so far away and I don’t have Michael’s cooking skills or Joan’s lovely orange fur. But I am sending you thoughts of encouragement. I think that you are probably in a natural state of anxiety, excitement, worry, exhaustion, anticipation and so much more because of your upcoming performance and other things going on in your life. I hope some encouragement, although offered virtually, will offset your discouragement a little bit. Sending a hug as well.

  2. Ann, I agree with Maureen. Also remember that it is a little bit better to worry about the performance *before* the concert as it will make the welcoming applause all the more encouraging and the standing ovation which is sure to come worth every drop you ever sweated over this. Standing in line with the virtual huggers.

  3. Margaret Atwood said giving readings scared her until she realized the people who came to her readings were there because they liked her work and wanted to hear what she had to say. I think it’s natural to feel discouraged but there are a lot of people supporting you.
