Day 4831: Spending Time

Because our time on earth is finite, I pay attention to how I’m spending time.

That’s why I asked this question on social media last night.

.

Can you tell how I’ve been spending time by my other images for today?

.

On World Retrospective Day, here’s what I find when I search for “spending time” on YouTube.

.

For over 60 years, I’ve loved this song about spending time.

.

Thanks, as always, for spending time with me!

I feel lucky that I get to spend so much (online) time with friends from distant part of the country. We write long emails. We check in with each other on Facebook. My BFF from high school and I talk on the phone once a month. So I live with my son, but for all that I live fairly much alone with my devices (we love being left to our own devices) which allow me to spend so much time with some of the people I love best. Including you, Ann, and our merry little crew on YLNJ.

  3. Since it’s Greek Independence Day I’m reminded of a story Lawrence Durrell told about how he defused a tense situation with some Greeks by telling them his brother died fighting alongside Greek soldiers at Thermopylae. The truth is his brother was an entomologist and alive and well. He’d later show up in the village and everyone rejoiced at his resurrection and was glad to spend time with him.
