Since we have such incompetent, greedy, and corrupt leadership, life seems to be a series of near misses.
Do you see near misses in my images for today?

Here’s what I find when I search for near misses on YouTube:

I miss the days when the world news wasn’t so filled with near misses.
Thanks to all who help me deal with near misses every day, including YOU!

HI Ann. Several near misses in my life. When I was a preteen, my family camped. One day my father told us to get in the tent. Then I heard the whizzz of a round. Somebody was target practicing and they were not very good at it with the bullets flying over our heads. When in the Army, while on field ops, I had cleaned up after the morning activities and was taking a coffee break when my vehicle and the entire encampment were rocked by an explosion just outside the perimeter. We were encamped on an old artillery range and, as luck would have it, there was still unexploded ordinance. Nobody hurt, thankfully. But WOW!!
I love that picture of the turkeys in the front lawn. One of my favorite birds.
I love your comments, Stan.
lots of near misses and sometimes it amazes me that I’m still here )
I can relate, beth.
Loved the turkeys too. We get them in Madison quite a bit. Also sandhill cranes.
Anyway, rattled on quite a bit yesterday about my laffattack (as the hospital docs called it), during which I also managed to hit the pull-out shelf on my desk that holds my mouse with my right hand, resulting in an impressive hematoma. I think I could call that a near-miss (or near hit), as I did NOT hit that shelf’s sharp corner with my head. So many things that might have happened did not happen, so perhaps we all, like Beth, live in a state of near-misses?
Glad you are okay, Barbara!
I think life is a series of near misses, most of which we’re not aware of. And, as a college friend used to say, “Drive carefully. Most people in this world are caused by accidents.”
Thanks for your awareness, Chris.
