As if we don’t have time to read anything in full these days, AI has been providing summaries everywhere I look, including here:
.
I don’t know how I feel about these summaries and I wonder what summary AI will write about this blog post about summaries.
Do you see summaries in my images for today?
.
Here’s a summary of a Christmas song I recorded and posted on TikTok (which is full of summaries) yesterday.
.
In summary, thanks to all who are here for this summaries (and non-summery) post, including YOU!

P.P.S. (Post Publishing Summary):
Why not take a hint from that summary and comment on this summaries post?
I haven’t seen any AI summaries of your blog, but I did get a bit of a chuckle from the summary you posted. There is really no way to summarize Ann!
If I were to summarize my feelings about knowing you, Maureen, the main word would be “grateful.”
I use the AI summaries to guide the research. Google’s AI does a nice job pointing out different articles to read.
Time travel: I suppose if I had a Tardis, the historian in me would want to visit all of it. Since I have a time machine, I probably have a transmogrifier too so I can shape shift. I would love to be a fly on the wall in many discussions that took place to create the US.
I appreciate reading every word you write, Stan.
The day in summary: car battery is dead again. Of course it is. We’ve had more snow in the last week than we had all last winter. Snow every night for a couple of hours followed by COLD. My son put his magic battery generator to work. Car still dead as a doornail. I call AAA. They tell me that it’s faster – HAH – to use AAA.com. However, finally do get an appointment. They said they would be here – 45 minutes ago. 15 minutes ago I get a phone call to expect them in another 45 minutes. That’s half an hour ago. The good news is that I had to cancel my dentist appointment which was in about 40 minutes from now. Because even if AAA starts my car, I have to let it run for half an hour to defrost the front windshield.
More snow coming tonight. Much of me is actually quite happy about that. 🙂 Promised dentist I would make new appointment on Friday. In summary, I find that many things are best done later.
I always appreciate your summaries, Barbara.
