Day 4718: Fun

Maybe because fun seems to be in short supply these days, many people I know have been resolving to have more fun.

For example, here’s a fun statement that was said during a therapy session yesterday about Thanksgiving:

Let’s put the “fun” back in family dysfunction.

I hope you have as much fun looking at today’s images as I had gathering them for you.

.

I just had fun reordering that calendar (which was called “the b-word” online) for next year.

Here’s a conversation about fun I just had with ChatGPT:

.

This reminds me to work on my fun song “ChatGPT Thinks I’m Great.”

Here’s what I find when I look for “fun” on YouTube:

.

That TED talk was so much fun, I watched it twice.

Thanks to all who are here for this fun post, including YOU!

  1. I love that fun phrase about dissfunctional families, because, it rings true for me! X

  2. fun is where you find it and if you don’t find it, you can make it

Hi Ann, Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving.
Having fun is so important. I try to incorporate fun even into the most serious/ somber events. When my grandfather died, while most of my cousins were crying, I was there, sharing his quotes, and laughing (decorum prevents me from sharing the quotes here). It was fun and a great way to grieve. While no longer a familiar voice on the other end of a phone call, his quotes and humor are still fun to share.
Still I understand not everyone finds that fun. I have other fun things. My hobbies are fun. I fly fish and tie my own flies. I read, although some of what I read is academic and pedantic, but I find joy and fun with the material I read.
To each their own. As long as someone’s fun does not interfere with another’s fun, then so be it.

I always have fun trying to think of something fun to post here. Today, for instance, I have to take issue with the signage on the little hedgehogs. “Naughty” looks like he’s ready for a bit of fun. “Nice” looks guilty as hell. Heh heh. Just having a bit of fun.
