Yesterday, in a therapy session, somebody talked about feeling like an outsider. We discussed how they had felt that way since they were very young.
I believe that most of us feel like outsiders and that’s why I asked this question last night on social media.

.
In my Coping and Healing groups, people who might feel like outsiders connect and realize they are not alone. Today, I’m mourning one of the long-time participants who has passed away.
Before I knew that she was gone, I dropped one of my pills, which landed on its side.

.
Thinking that was outside usual occurrences, I asked ChatGPT about it.

.
There are so many lightening strike moments in this life and I feel like I’ve been struck by lightening now. Today, I’ll start letting the other group members know that our dear departed member has passed.
Do you see outsiders in my other images for today?

.
I wonder if other lefthanders feel like outsiders sometimes?
Here’s what I find when I search for “outsiders” on YouTube:
.
My deepest gratitude to all who are here for this “outsiders” post, including YOU.

Sorry to hear you lost your comrade, Ann.
Thank you, my friend.
Yes, sorry to hear you lost someone. I didn’t go around choosing to become friends with people 10 to 20 years younger than me, but it sort of worked out that way. Still, I lose one once in a while. But nearly every day I get a notice that a former classmate is gone – almost none of whom I remember. At least a couple of my BFF’s are still here.
Oh, right. Outsiders. I think I always felt that way in regard to certain groups, but somehow always had a group of my own. In high school, my friends from Girl Scouts still hung together. We even get a special table of our own at reunions. In Door County, I found my sisters in N.O.W. And once I’d seen The Grateful Dead and joined the clan, I found we were country-wide and I was always admitted. My writers’ group. The 46th District Dems. Even the Theosophists took me in when I knocked one winter. The Blue Moon Tavern.
There is always some place you belong, even if it is only the two of you.
Love this comment, Barbara.
I’m very sorry about your loss. One thing I think we all share is that losses never get easier no matter how many times we go through them. Each one is different.
Being lefthanded made me feel different growing up. I couldn’t use spiral notebooks and I’d smudge papers while writing. But I learned there were a lot of famous southpaws and having something in common with them helped me embrace being different.
I love having that in common with you, Chris.
Condolences on the passing of your client, Ann.
Thank you, my good friend.
