Day 4437: Nervous

People are very nervous these days. The only person I know who isn’t nervous is my husband Michael, who’s been practicing a complete news blackout for months.

Sometimes when I’m nervous, I get mad at the people who are making me nervous. Yesterday, I posted this live performance of my song “I’m Mad About You” on YouTube:

.

Do any of my images for today make you nervous?

.

On my walk yesterday, I came across an event for Ruff Tales Rescue and met the nervous and adorable Little Bit. Michael and I would consider adopting a dog but we know that would make our cat Harley very, very nervous.

I get nervous about being late to work on Mondays — when I work with nervous people in-person at the hospital — so I’m going to wrap up this nervous blog post.

Thanks to all who help me deal with being nervous, including YOU!

I get nervous about forgetting important things, so if it’s something I want to remember, I make a sticky note (I have a sticky note app) for that. For instance, today is a Seattle friend’s birthday, and Sticky Note won’t let me forget until I’ve sent her a message and xed it off my list. And I’m having cataract surgery in a month or so, so Sticky Note will start reminding me two weeks out. And all this week, Sticky Note will be reminding me to work on a post for the Bookhouse. This one on politics. Wonder what my fingers will write about that.

  2. I do’t get nervous too often except for my dental visits and being around clowns, including some politicians

  3. Even if the news weren’t making me nervous I feel nervous about where I work. Well, that is related to the news since funding cuts could affect education at all levels. But at least your songs make me laugh which helps calm me down.

  4. Awww that stuffed toy tiger

  5. A news blackout is a great idea.

Love the photos of the sweet rescue dog!
