Day 4435: Courage

During the first week of this awful month, I wrote about courage, and it’s time to write about it again.

Here are some quotes about courage:

.

Do you see courage in my other images for today?

.

Sometimes, when people become aware that I’ve had a heart valve replacement (and other heart-related surgeries starting at a young age), they call that courage. I don’t call that courage — I call that surviving. Courage is taking action against something you know is wrong. My friends, we’re going to need a lot of courage in the days ahead.

Here’s what I find when I search for courage on YouTube.

.

What are your thoughts and feelings about courage?

Thanks to all who are here for this courage post, including YOU.

  1. courage looks different for each of us, and manifests itself in many ways

  2. We need it to open our eyes and ears now, Ann.

I put my Harris/Walz yard sign in my bedroom window, which faces the street, and I joked on Facebook that it makes me feel just a weenie bit brave. But not courageous. I wrote a whole post once about When I Was Brave, and maybe that was a wee bit courageous, but those opportunities don’t come along every day. I do hope I’m up to it if it comes along again. https://www.barbarasbookhouse.com/When-I-Was-Brave

  4. People aren’t really afraid of Trump -they’re afraid of the violence loving, deliberately ignorant people who’ve made him their God. Those people cannot be argued with … they must be shunned which goes against our Judeo Christian values. People have to remember that Jesus threw the money lenders out of the synagogue – if the Gospels are to be believed. Not all people can be enlightened.A sad but true lesson we have to learn. In my humble opinion!
