Day 4418: Who is going to have the courage?

As the current USA administration is wreaking havoc at home and abroad, many of us are asking who is going to have the courage to oppose and stop those who are abusing their power.

Yesterday, I asked “Who is going to have the courage?” on the elon-gated, e-musk-ulated platform formerly known as Twitter.

.

I agree that it has to be thee and me.

What will help give us the courage? We need to let go of our fears about taking action.

Yesterday, I spoke with somebody who was paralyzed with fear. We agreed that asking oneself “What’s the worst that could happen?” and “What can I do if the worst DOES happen?” can help dispel panic.

Here goes: What’s the worst that can happen if we have the courage to try and stop this villainy?

There may be retribution and revenge. Lately, I’ve been wondering about the wisdom of always using my real name on social media, especially since I get Social Security payments from a system that is now controlled illegally by Musk.

What can we do if there is retribution and revenge? We can reach out to each other, organize, and take collective action.

.

We can also accept all our feelings and focus on self-care to maintain our courage and energy for the long haul.

.

On Disaster Day, I’m wondering what I’ll find when I search for “who is going to have the courage?” on YouTube.

.

Who is going to have the courage to leave a comment, below?

Thanks to all who are here for this who-is-going-to-have-the-courage? post, including YOU.

National Fart Day! Now that is a day I can support (I celebrate just about every day). Wait? While I am on the commode, does that count as a fart? Sorry not to be vulgar…

To the initial question: I would like to see Congress do something. Surely there is a majority (Dems are only 4 seats back but there are some Reps with a conscience) who see this nonsense and will start pushing back.

If Not, we will have to do it ourselves.

  2. The pessimist in me says no one will stop him and even if he gets sick or otherwise incapacitated there’s a whole line of white men behind him gleefully ready to continue the assault on the rest of us.

I agree that Schumer seems ineffectual, but there is video of someone who looks like him talking to folks in a grocery store, and he was at the rally at the Treasury Building (I think it was the TB) yesterday making himself heard. Frankly, there’s not much either he or Jeffries can do in the minority. They can’t introduce legislation. They have been speaking against all the FF and his MM (mini-me, Musk) are doing, but they are rarely heard. They should be giving speeches that make more news. But how? It’s like if Dad died and Mom married a Brute, who killed Mom and got custody. And we won’t be of age for four more years.

  4. I for one, will do my part. yesterday I was a part of the 50 protests/50 states initiative and I refuse to sit down

  5. It’s very vexing, Ann.
