As a group therapist, I know that when people share their hidden thoughts they often discover they are not alone.
That’s why I wrote and sometimes perform “Hidden Thoughts.”
.
Here and now, one of my many fears about the rapid changes in the USA is that some of us who disagree with the government might increasingly have hidden thoughts. Also, if Medicaid is drastically cut, my patients may be unable to express their hidden thoughts in therapy.
No matter what, though, I’ll keep unhiding my hidden thoughts here and elsewhere.

Good question, Daily Bitch.
Feel free to express your hidden thoughts in the comments section, below.
Thanks to all who help me express my hidden thoughts every day, including YOU!

Good morning Anne,
My wife and I live not 10 miles from where Frederick Douglas was born. I see the local statue nearly every day. Let me know if you are ever down this way…
I work really hard to not get to the point of desparation. It is an aweful cologne. However, if I feel I am getting close, I take step back, reassess, check for mistakes correct if necessary, then press forward. Great leaps forward done from the precipice of desparation.
Humans seem very keen on destruction. Perhaps this stems from our animal survival instincts. I mean, we have not observed other animals destroying their environment the way ‘civilized’ humans do. They do not have the ego humans have.
I remember a childrens’ book about a house that was built and then the neighborhood went from houses to tenements to high rises. It was ultimately moved to the country. It survived despite the inflated egos and hubris, men grossly overcompensating for their shortcomings. We can do, but we must remain true to ourselves
Thank you, Stan, for remaining true to yourself.
Thanks for pressing onward every day, Ann.
Thanks for keeping pace with me, my friend.
Nothing hidden here, my friend!
Good to see you here, my friend!
<3
Love back at you, beth.
Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope that you and Michael enjoy some time together today. I love that your relationship and his sense of humor and his fabulous culinary creations are not hidden from us.
I hope you know how much we love your comments, Maureen!
All I have is a not-so-hidden thought. Today is my 82nd birthday! Who gnu I’d get this far? I smoked, drank and went to more than 100 Grateful Dead shows. Did a hellovalotta LSD. Married and divorced twice. Had two kids. One of them likes me, I live with the other one. Had two abortions. Not sorry but occasionally wonder who they were. Broke the law a few times. Never got caught. Am almost always honest but do not believe that honesty is always the best policy. Am almost always kind, and when I’m not for whatever reason it continues to scratch at my soul. I could go on and on, as you all know. But I won’t. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
Happy birthday, Barbara, and I love how you unhide your thoughts here.
Belatedly, Happy birthday to you, Barbara!
I hope it helps to share with others that I’m scared.

You’re not alone, my friend.
You keep good company, Ann.
You are great comepany, Mark.
Including you, Mark.
When I lived in Europe most of the kids I knew had no desire to be millionaires or movie stars but greed is more socially acceptable and rewarded in the US than in other parts of the world.
A very important thought. Thanks for sharing.
