Today is November 22, the 61st anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination and of my first heart surgery to get a cardiac pacemaker, which has kept me alive for many anniversaries. It’s also the twelfth anniversary of me blogging about this anniversary here.
Last night, I asked this question about anniversaries:

.
On the day before today’s anniversary (i.e., yesterday), I was able to return to songwriting for the first time since the November election. I wrote new lyrics for my song “There’s No One I Like Better Than My Cat.”

Here are the rest of my images for this anniversary post, 11/22/24.

Start Your Own Country Day sounds good to me on this particular anniversary.
For some reason, this “Wicked” performance shows up when I search for “anniversary” on YouTube:
.
I’m looking forward to seeing the movie version of Wicked, opening today on this anniversary.
Thanks to all who helped me create this anniversary post, including YOU!

Happy Anniversary to you, Ann, my friend who champions so many important causes, including living a big life with that unusual heart.
Thanks so much for this heartfelt comment, my good friend Mark.
Happy Anniversary, Ann. And Happy Anniversaries to all who have them whenever. I remember the day of Kennedy’s assassination. I was in Chicago, working on the far west side, living in a little walkup room, bathroom down the hall. I remember sitting on a cold stone bench in the sunshine, seems there were fallen leaves still around. I remember TV images, but I don’t think I had a TV. I only remember, can see me, sitting on that bench. Shot? Dead? Weird.
Difficult memories, Barbara.
i am so glad that someone invented pacemakers just in time for you, Ann.
Thank you for this timely comment, my good friend.
All things considered this is a happy anniversary because it means you’re still here, Ann.
I’m so glad we’re both still here, Chris.
I will never forget the day we lost jfk, all of the adults around me were crying and I didn’t really understand why, until I got older. glad you’ve had lots of anniversaries since your life-changing surgery
Thank you, beth.
Happy multiple anniversaries! One not so happy (the assassination)… But most anniversaries are joyful occasions. My favorite was 12 years ago, our 50th anniversary. We had a wonderful party in Palm Desert, CA with 50 guests representing our 5 decades together. Very memorable!!
Thanks for sharing that wonderful anniversary, Jan!
