Day 4044: Just sing

Today, I am going to just sing, even though

  • my singing lesson got cancelled,
  • my voice has neither the range nor the quality it had when I was younger,
  • I hear very annoying clicking noises when I sing or talk, and
  • I’m not sure how just singing is going to go over in my scheduled ZOOM call today with my son and ex-husband.

Despite everything, let’s just sing as I share these images with you.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “just sing” on YouTube.

.

Just sing, write, or whatever in the comment section, below.

Now I shall just sing my thanks to all who are here, now, including YOU!

  1. A must-sing-along song for me since the first time I heard it on a jukebox as a student at Morrisville College almost 50 years ago, Ann, is Amie by Pure Prarie League.

  2. Embrace the joy of singing despite challenges! Your courage is inspiring. Looking forward to the images you’ll share. 🎶📸

  3. sing and dance no matter what! some people don’t do it at all

  4. I like to think that Garth Brooks stole my line, because I was using it long before I ever heard of him. Of course, he’d never heard of me, either. That was back during my pool playing, biker chick days. I remember a boss laughing when he asked me something about a job I was working on, and I told him, “Be careful how you talk to me. I’ve got friends in low places.” I think that was in the year that Ronald Reagan won the presidency. A low year all around, for me.

As for singalongs, try this one:

  5. I am glad that you are singing despite the lack of a lesson today and the annoyance of a clicking jaw. Your clicking jaw isn’t audible to your audience and I hope that the clicks can be imagined as a sign of how hard you and your body are working to make music.

I have a clicking jaw, too, and it is painful and I am searching for a way to view it positively.

  6. Tonight as I was making supper for our dogs I sang “Take The Skinheads Bowling” to them. I’ve been told by several people that I can’t carry a tune in a bucket but the dogs never complain about my singing.

  7. I love putting music on first thing in the morning and letting it play all day in my house. I just say, “Alexa, play my favorites” – and she knows to go to the list I have created on Amazon Music… favorite sing-along vocalists for me are Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Bing Crosby, Johnny Denver, Elvis Presley … you get the idea… it’s an era when singing was melodic and lyrics were meaningful and acceptable and heart-warming. Ah yes, music makes my heart sing!

  8. sing, sing loud and clear, so the whole world can hear your sweet voice!
