I like getting sh*t done and yesterday that included recording a first take of my newest original song, “It’s Hard to Get Sh*t Done When You’re Scared Sh*tless.”
.
Getting that sh*t done involved adding music to the lyrics I’d already written and learning new chords on the ukulele.
I also just changed my TikTok nickname to “Singing Therapist” and once I get my sh*t together, I’ll post some videos under that nickname.
Getting sh*t done today includes facilitating two therapy groups, writing the song “Mansplainer” to the tune of Hall & Oates’s “Maneater,” paying bills, taking Joan the cat out for a walk, and — of course! — creating this daily blog. What sh*t is getting done in my images for today?

.
On Use Less Stuff Day, I’m thinking that getting sh*t done often includes getting rid of sh*t.
Thanks to all who support me in getting sh*t done, including YOU!

#getshitdone. love the new song, you are so good with song titles
Thanks so much, beth!
I don’t feel like any of the stuff you get done falls into that stinky category, Ann!
Thanks for getting that sweet comment done, my good friend.
Ha! Just in time for yesterday’s itinerary: Mailed daughter’s copy of end of life decisions, paid for yard work, bought new bath mat, took big bag of plastic bags (from grocery shopping) to the food bank to hand out to people coming to pick up food, picked up a prescription. That cleared my list of little chores to do.
That is quite a varied list!
Good for you!
I’ve been on a major campaign to get rid of stuff. So much stuff leaving the house. Only a tiny percentage is gone so far. I’ll keep plugging away.
You’re not alone, Debbie!
Cleaning out the refrigerator is some shit I definitely need to get done. I found a bottle of oyster sauce. It has no expiration date but I can’t remember why or when I bought it, and, while I’m not sure about the sauce, oysters aren’t exactly known for their shelf life.
All your comments have a great shelf life, Chris.
I like this song, Ann. There’s a lot of truth to it
Thanks for letting me know!
Michael is quite amazing! What is his process with your ceiling? Did he take all the tim panels off and then remove the paint from them and then nail them back up again? Everything is looking very shiny! Joan is looking super relaxed. And I think that Singing Therapist is a great name for you!
YOU are quite amazing, Maureen! You are completely correct about Michael’s process of working on the tin ceiling and thanks for all your positive feedback.
That seems extraordinarily painstaking and time consuming and, hopefully, rewarding. Good for him! I am so impressed.
