Day 3965: Constantly right about everything

On this day, I’m thinking about people who are constantly right about everything.

.

Besides the Daily Bitch, do you see anybody who is constantly right about everything in today’s images?

.

On Forget-Me-Not Day, I do not forget to search YouTube for “constantly right about everything.”

.

I may not be constantly right about everything, but I know I’m constantly right when I end my blog posts with gratitude for YOU.

  1. and the constantly right about everything people may not be constantly right, so they are wrong. they also might not be constantly right that people enjoy them being constantly right.

  2. Getting the facts right during my journalism career at the very least kept me going until the next deadline, Ann. Happy is hard at places where you have to be constantly right.

  3. I worked with such a person. She was very intelligent and knowledgeable about many things, especially work. She also was a holy terror if you didn’t kneel and kiss the ring, so to speak. Once you passed that ritual, she also was a great friend, someone you could learn from and work with. That first step, though…whew!

  4. I have two such people in my life – three, if you count an ex-pat friend of mine who is fun to argue with, but arguing in print is better for me. The other two are close relatives, who like to try to push my buttons. But one thing I have learned from several other close relationships – it’s boring to have the same fight over and over and over again. So I don’t. I’ll hear my son or, as in this weekend, my eldest brother, mutter disdain over something we’ve argued about before, and I pay no attention. If they persist, I remind them outright that we have had this discussion before, I haven’t changed my mind and I have no wish to change theirs, so I’m not having it again. So far it works without any long term disgruntlements.

  5. There have been more than a few times in my life when I’ve been glad to be wrong because being corrected expanded my understanding of the world and other people. Well, “glad” may not be the best way to put it. Being wrong isn’t fun but I do appreciate the opportunity to learn, which is why I’m more inclined to say “I don’t know.”

    • I know that I love this, Chris!

    • Case in point: My eldest brother asserted to me last weekend that there is no need for an Emmet Till day, because everybody already knows about Emmet Till. I disagreed, and I should know because I was 12 when Till was killed but knew nothing about him until about 20 years ago. And I was involved in the civil rights movement. By that time I guess there had been too many other killings since 1955.

  6. Debbie Terman

I had to laugh: my husband uses upholstered furniture as a tool rest too.

  7. I think that Michael might be constantly right about your ceiling! Am I right about that?
