In yesterday’s blog post, I wrote that difficult conversations can be scary. In yesterday’s Coping and Healing Group, members discussed difficult conversations — specifically, setting limits with other people. Somebody suggested using the simple reaction “Ouch!” when they felt hurt and “Oops!” when they felt they had hurt the other person, and everybody committed to trying that method in difficult conversations this week.
Do you see any difficult conversations in my images for today?

Here’s what I find when I search for “difficult conversations” on YouTube.

Thanks to Mel Robbins and all those who help me have difficult conversations, including YOU!

I foresee a difficult conversation with my eldest brother is/when I get down to Chicago next weekend to see my only sister, stateside for short while. He thinks I am a warmonger for supporting the war in Ukraine. In our last “conversation,” I said, “Okay, okay. So I’m a warmonger. I’m still your big sister and you have to love me.”
Good luck with your difficult conversations, Barbara!
congrats on the anniversary of your ‘meeting day!’ I love the pic with you and Joan in your ‘who wore it better’ shot.
Conversations with you always make things less difficult, my friend!
First meetings can often result in difficult conversations. I’m glad you and Michael had the advantage of meeting on Halloween which may have made it easier.
First meetings can be wonderful too, my good friend.
I’m so glad that you and Michael have been treating each other to an outstanding shared life for 13 years, Ann.
And I’m so glad you’ve been part of my life for almost 10 years, Mark!
