Today is Halloween 2023, which is scary.
As I know from my work as a group therapist and from my experience as a human being, life can be very scary, no matter what day it is.
I’m realizing I need to have some scary conversations with people in order to move forward through these scary times.
What makes a conversation scary? To me, a conversation is scary if people might feel insulted, angry, or betrayed.
I guess I’ll just have to use the same technique I’ve used with many scary conversations: (1) Show up, (2) Be gentle, (3) Tell the truth.
Is there anything scary in my images for today?

.
Here’s what I find when I search for “scary” on YouTube.

Thanks to all who are helping me get through these scary times, including YOU!

Been way too long since I’ve been on your blog!
It’s scary how busy we can get and I am SO GLAD to see you, Alex!
Hugs!
happy halloween and here’s to overcoming our fears, but sometimes it’s an ongoing process
Thanks for helping me overcome my fears, beth.
Oh no! I’m sorry you have to have some scary conversations and I hope they are not too scary!
Happy Halloween, Ann!
Nothing’s too scary with friends like you, Maureen!
It was a little scary to me to get out and meet some people who live on my street but it was also fun. I know it might seem strange but sometimes things I want to do, that I know I’ll enjoy, can still be scary.
That doesn’t seem strange at all, Chris!
I hope you and Michael had a good Halloween, Ann. My dear wife Karen and I were happy to greet the couple dozen kids who showed up at our house for treats!
I was happy to greet some kids this year with candy, Mark, and we had a great Halloween.
