Day 4166: What are you listening to?

What are you listening to? Your intuition? Other people’s opinions? Music? The sounds of nature?

Yesterday, I was listening to helpful words I encountered along my way.

.

Yesterday, at my 50th college reunion, I was listening to Jennifer G., who reads this blog every day and had many interesting thoughts to share.

I loved listening to wisdom from Jennifer and her traveling companion, Spot.

.

After to listening to my fellow classmates last night at a reunion dinner, I asked a what-are-you-listening-to question on Twitter.

.

.

What I’m listening to right now includes the playback from my dress rehearsal of original songs from last Sunday and also today’s calendars.

.

On National Senior Health & Fitness Day, I’ll be listening to some of my fellow seniors describe their experiences at my 50th reunion. Here‘s my blog post from the 45th reunion when I shared mine:

.

What are you listening to, here and now? I look forward to listening to your responses, below.

Thanks to all who are listening, including YOU.

Day 4162: Courage

I’m working on my songs and the courage to perform them tomorrow in front of a live audience.

Yesterday, I walked around my neighborhood with my ukulele, my set list, and my music, stopping to practice each song in the fresh air. Because I had never done anything like that before, I guess that took courage.

Do you see courage in my images for today?

.

When I search for courage on YouTube, I find this:

Thanks to Susan David, my friends on Twitter, the Daily Bitch, and all those who give me courage, including YOU!

Day 4160: You are enough

Yesterday, as I was trying to get ready enough for my concerts by traveling all over the Greater Boston area to see my physical therapist in downtown Boston, my singing teacher in the town where my son grew up, various sites in the town where I grew up, and Nat who will be joining me for two numbers, I saw this helpful reminder:

.

Let’s see if I have enough photos to convey that you are enough.

.

You are enough no matter what you do today. Because it’s International Turtle Day, I’m going to get my husband more of the chocolate turtles he loves.

Here’s what I find when I search for “you are enough” on YouTube:

.

You are enough and I am grateful for you!

Day 4136: Being a grown-up

Today, the Daily Bitch has something to say about being a grown-up.

.

For me, being a grown-up includes going in to the hospital to work on Mondays and taking good care of those I love, no matter what I’m asked about myself.

Do you see being a grown-up in my other images for today?

.

Being a grown-up on International Noise Awareness Day, I will be aware of not disturbing my neighbors when I play the snare drum loaned to me by the wonderful Riccardo Pearlman, who will be recording my upcoming concert.

Here’s what I find when I search for “being a grown-up” on YouTube.

.

Thanks to all who help me create these grown-up posts, including YOU!
