I’ve been lucky enough to have many peak experiences in my life and performing last night at a protest music teach-out was definitely one of them.
Despite my feeling insecure and stressed when I climbed up on that stage, I had a blast and the audience did too!
My friend Carol, my husband Michael, the other musicians, many audience members, and the organizers told me they loved it. (Michael, who is honest and very picky, told me that no other performer was better.) Somebody insisted I sign her poster because she thought I was so great. The speaker at the end of the concert, a musician/doctoral student writing his thesis on protest songs, quoted my lyrics! James Sullivan, who literally wrote the book on protest songs, is going to suggest that another author include my lyrics in an upcoming book. The official photographer for the event gave me the information for a group of ukulele players and asked me to join them. One of the musicians said I absolutely need to get my songs out there and that I should hire a PR person. An organizer of ICE protests wanted me to perform at upcoming events.
Carol told me that I would see and hear what a peak experience it was when I get the video that Michael took (which I have added at the bottom of this post). Also, professional video from this peak experience will appear on the Which Side? website sometime in the future.
Here’s the poster from last night’s peak experiences, which I plan to have framed:

Do you see other peak experiences in my other images for today?

Here’s what I find when I search for peak experiences on YouTube:

Thanks to all who are here for my peak experiences, including YOU!

Here is Michael’s video, which captures a peak experience well enough (despite all the noises through the door where he was standing).
