Day 4869: Tourist Mode

Even though I’m back home from Barcelona, I’m still in tourist mode.

To me, tourist mode means

  • exploration,
  • wonder,
  • curiosity,
  • awareness,
  • observation,
  • connecting with new people, and
  • beginner’s mind.

Years ago, my son told me that I was a tourist wherever I went, which I took as a compliment.

Here are my images for yet another tourist-mode post.

With all the greedy people currently in power, I often think about the Grimm story of The Fisherman and His Wife and how it ends.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “tourist mode” on YouTube:

Thanks to all who are here for my tourist-mode posts, including YOU!

Day 3901: I don’t want to be ______.

I don’t want to be pushy, but how would you fill in the blank in today’s title?

I don’t want to be late OR early, and I’m writing a song about that.

I don’t want to be worried, but it took me a moment to remember what year it is.

I don’t want to be wearing a night guard, but I have to because my jaw is still clicking when I talk. And I don’t want to be curtailing my walking, but my right ankle keeps swelling and we’re not sure why.

I don’t want to be presumptuous, but I assume some people would like to see a picture of Joan…

.

… the question I asked last night on Twitter (I don’t want to call it “X”!) ….

.

… a few of the answers …

.

… the Daily Bitch Calendar …

.

… and the list of Holidays and Observances for today.

.

I don’t want to be a patient but I’m happy that I’m a grateful one.

I don’t want to be sharing an irrelevant video, so here’s what I find when I search YouTube for “I don’t want to.”

.

I don’t want to be a name-dropper, but my husband Michael says he met Steven Tyler years ago and that he was a very nice guy.

I don’t want to be begging for comments, but please leave one (unless you don’t want to).

I don’t want to be ungrateful in any way, so thanks for being here, now!
