Day 3714: What would you recommend?

What would you recommend if somebody

  • goes for a walk and is intercepted, again, by a neighbor who seems to want to be more than just a neighbor?
  • spills very hot tea on their hand and leg?
  • has trouble sleeping about twice a week?
  • has to return to the place where they caught COVID three years ago during the week before lockdown?
  • holds the irrational belief that when things are going really well something really bad will happen?
  • feels uncomfortable giving and asking for advice?
  • has (perhaps) unrelated images to share today?

What would you recommend on a Simplify-Your-Life Day complicated by so many different daily holidays occurring simultaneously?

YouTube recommends this for “what would you recommend?” …

… and this, too:

.

What would you recommend for the best way to end a blog post?

Day 1533: Empowerment

What does empowerment mean to you?

To me, empowerment means positively realizing and using personal power.

To the dictionary, empowerment means this:

em·pow·er·ment
əmˈpouərmənt/
noun
authority or power given to someone to do something.
“individuals are given empowerment to create their own dwellings”
the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights.
“political steps for the empowerment of women”

Empowerment can be a powerful matter of survival, especially when balances of power are powerfully misaligned.

Do you see empowerment in the pictures I was empowered to take yesterday?

I now empower myself to express gratitude to all who helped me create this Empowerment post and to you — of course! — for being here, now.
