Day 4900: Losses and Gains

Yesterday, I lost my wedding ring. I also gained this understanding: what’s important to me is the strength of the marriage, not the symbol of it.

The lost ring may turn up. In the meantime, I’ll be gaining a “place holder”ring that evokes the lost one.

Yesterday morning, on my walk to work (when I may or may not have already lost my ring), I gained a new experience.

I saw turkey babies! Nobody else noticed them — everyone else was hurrying by on their way to work. Their loss; my gain.

Because I lost sleep last night, I’ve lost any interest in looking up Yell “Fudge” at the Cobras in North America Day. I haven’t lost faith in your ability to investigate that if you want to gain more info.
