Day 4982: Bothering

As a group therapist, I witness what’s bothering people. I also hear how these people I work with worry about bothering others.

It’s bothering me how people in power aren’t bothering about about how their greedy, selfish, and short-sighted actions are bothering those they are supposed to serve and protect.

Is there anything bothering you about my blog post for today?

It’s bothering me that today’s online list of holidays and observances has a grammatical mistake.

When I search for “bothering” on YouTube, I find this …

… and this:

.

I hope I’m not bothering you with these daily blog posts and my constant gratitude!

  1. So much hatred and pain in the world right now

  2. How could you be bothering anybody with your daily blog posts? I am always grateful for your words and photos, which help me feel connected at a time when great forces are working to make us disconnected.

“I never did let the little things bother me very much.” I once heard this line in a very bad movie that I think bears repeating, especially for some folks who are bothered by lots of little things.

  4. There’s a lot that’s so seriously wrong right now but a small thing that’s bothering me is Michael’s coat. Or jacket. Let me be clear: it’s amazing and it looks great on him. I knew he had great taste in food and now I appreciate his sartorial taste as well. I’m just not sure what to call it.

    • We are calling it a coat, Chris, but I wouldn’t bother about the distinction. And it takes one person with great taste to know another one.
