Day 4777: Curmudgeons

It’s hard not to be a curmudgeon during these dark days of cold and ICE.

.

I’m especially an old curmudgeon and I’ll be older very soon, on Groundhog’s Day.

Do you see curmudgeons in my images for today?

.

Here’s the new protest song from that wonderful curmudgeon Bruce Springsteen.

.

Thanks to all who help me feel less like curmudgeon during these dark times, including YOU.

  1. Great pun on ‘ice’ and ‘ICE’

Love Genius’s reference to “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane.” When I stopped perming my hair and cut it, I told people that after 60 maybe not so much with the “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane” look. So many younger friends. So many blank looks.

I should nominate my son as my favorite curmudgeon, although he curmudges about things I disagree with. Still …

I guess I am the curmudgeon… When my son was younger, I was known as Angry Dad ( Bart Simpson’s attempt at cartoons). All because I came home and wanted some quiet after a long day’s work.
Most of his friends still call me Stan. So I guess they respected me…

  4. I wasn’t surprised to see Mark Twain make the list, though he was a curmudgeon who wanted, and worked for, a better world. In spite of that he saw many things getting worse. I understand how he felt.
