Because rewatching the news can be so soul-killing these days, I’m often rewatching movies I love.
Yesterday, after work, I started rewatching The Crying Game, one of my favorite films.

.
I love rewatching stories where people are kind and connect under impossible circumstances.
Do you see anything worth rewatching in my other images for today?

.
Here’s the official trailer of the movie I’ve been rewatching.
.
I enjoyed rewatching Siskel and Ebert’s review of the The Crying Game.
.
What have you been rewatching?
Thanks to all who are here for this rewatching post, including YOU!

Yesterday about re-read books, now re watched movies. While I do not reread books, I do rewatch movies and TV Shows. My wife heard the M*A*S*H theme song and was like “Again???”. Yes. MASH was my favorite as a kid. I can safely say I have watched the entire series 4 times.
Movies I have rewatched:
Stripes-
Caddyshack –
Grosse Point Blank- Somewhat of a biographical study of me without all the gunplay. John Cusack
Blazing Saddles- Shame this could not be made today.
The Maltese Falcon- Read the book in a Detective Fiction Lit class and I watch the movie every time it is on.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s- Read the book in a Lit Class and I watch the movie every time it is on
And every Holiday Season I watch the following:
A Christmas Story- When I was younger, I looked alot like Ralphie (Peter Billingsley)
Scrooge- A Christmas Carol- Alastair Sim as Scrooge. 1951. Holiday Classic.
It’s a Wonderful Life- I mean, c’mon, who does not watch this??
A Christmas Carol- Patrick Stewart version! He is absolutely wonderful in this.
I just reread your comment, Stan, and I’m glad I did.
And once again, I rarely (except for those I already mentioned) rewatch movies, although there are several I wish I had time for. Casablanca. The African Queen. Actually, all the Bogart movies. Maybe the Cary Grant movies too. What’s that one where he’s building a house and someone runs off with his Bible? I stole a line from that one. “This is democracy running amuck.” (I don’t use that one much anymore. Maybe it applies to the 2024 election?) I would not rewatch the Avatar movies – well, maybe the first one. They could, I think, have been much more than cowboys and Indians, even if they did purport to side with the “Indians.”
That quote is from “The Grass is Greener,” Barbara, which I should probably rewatch.
I’m watching the twilight zone series
A rewarding rewatch, beth.
I have never seen The Crying Game and will look for it.
We are very much enjoying Riot Women, which is showing on Britbox here in Canada. It’s available in the states but I don’t know which streaming service is running it. So much fun and lots of good feelings.
I hope you enjoy The Crying Game, Maureen!
