Day 4669: One Battle After Another

Yesterday, my husband Michael and I saw Paul Thomas Anderson’s spectacular new movie One Battle After Another, after battling wind and rain driving to a movie theatre on a spare tire.

It’s often a battle for me to remember names of movies lately, but it’s easy for me to remember that title, perhaps because life can seem like one battle after another. For example, after I finish this blog my battles include checking my blood INR, trying to get a new tire, and helping many therapy patients with one battle after another.

Do you see one battle after another in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “one battle after another” on YouTube.

.

Thanks to all who are dealing with one battle after another, including YOU.

  1. Our cherished rescue mutt got skunked a few days ago, Ann, and we have been battling the stink.

  2. Glad you enjoyed the movie Anne! Enjoy your Tuesday! xx

I too have trouble with movie names, largely because I find movies boring. My adult attention deficit kicks in and I find myself waiting for something to happen.
Movies I have seen recently: The Amateur, Superman, Warfare… Not much of a Superman – superhero movie fan unless it is Marvel- Captain America. The Amateur was fantastic. Warfare is exactly what I knew to be- not for faint of heart or veterans with PTSD

I am about to begin reading my new bathroom book (one page a sit), Ron Chernow’s biography of U.S. Grant – a 900+ page door stopper that will probably take me a year. And if anyone knows the meaning of one battle after another, it’s Ulysses S. Grant!

I hope “One Battle After Another” makes its way to streaming in time for me to watch it while I still have a few marbles left. 🙂
