Day 4584: Mastering

Lately, I’ve been working on mastering

  • my fears,
  • the ukulele,
  • balancing my needs with other people’s needs, and
  • the live audio tracks from my concert of original songs a year ago.

Here are some definitions of mastering.

.

If mastering really means acquiring COMPLETE knowledge or skill, I guess I’ve yet to master anything.

Do you see mastering in my images for today?

.

On this precious day, I hope to be mastering any urges to eat junk food.

Here’s the original version of “I Left the House Before I Felt Ready” before LANDR mastering.

Here’s the same tune after LANDR mastering:

.

Something I keep mastering is expressing my gratitude to YOU!

Two questions: 1. Did Joan really wear that little cap and look on with concern at the vet sewing (?) her toy up? 2. Who are the people with spotting scopes apparently scoping out their own neighborhood? Apparently, I haven’t mastered the art of communicating with my son – when he saw the bag of birdseed I had dragged to the garage so he could carry it into the house for me (my back dislikes actual lifting of said birdseed), he saw passive aggression and when I asked about it he heard a demand, not a humorous query. Little dust up. Over now. But geesh!

    • That cat is not Joan. Those people are birdwatchers. Thanks for mastering the art of commenting, Barbara.

Oh, I do wish it were Joan. I suspect a bit of photoshopping? And I figured birdwatchers, but no indication of a bird. So curious. They seem to be zeroing in on something. Ah, nevermind. Thank you for assuaging my curiosity.

      • No photoshopping. Just the usual wonderful coincidences and mysteries of life.

I don’t mean that you did it. 🙂 Nevertheless, wonderful!

  2. A few months ago I read a bit of Gedde Lee’s autobiography. He talked about struggling to learn some new songs for a 2022 tour. After more than fifty years of performing there were still challenges. I keep that in mind as a reminder that music is something you never master; there’s always something new to learn.

  3. If that’s Joan in the vet’s blue bonnet, what a priceless photo, Ann.
