Here is my first thought about preparation: no matter how much preparation I do, something unexpected happens. Therefore, I mix my preparation with openness to improvise and adjust along the way.
Yesterday, as I was starting my preparation to sing my protest song “You Don’t Scare Me” and my parody song “The Age of Nefarious” at a local demonstration on Sunday, I forgot the first chord of “You Don’t Scare Me” despite all my previous preparations and performances of that song. If that happens on Sunday, I’m prepared to just sing it a Capella.
After a few minutes of preparation, here are my images for this preparation post.

I’ll listen to my two songs in preparation for Sunday.

Thanks to all who help me in my preparation to meet each precious day, including YOU!

I think you’ll perform well, Ann.
You’re helping me in my preparation, my friend!
Wonderful news about you being asked to participate at the demonstration on Sunday!! You got this ♥️
Thank you, my wonderful friend! 💕
Yes! Great that you are being asked to come help lead a protest with your songs. I would come if I could. I prepared for getting an oil change yesterday – I brought my car and my Kindle. Today I am preparing to make a short Costo run and my Friday run for victuals. Have a good weekend, all.
Thanks for another great comment, Barbara.
I think that no matter how much we prepare, things are always going to happen, so the best way to prepare is to prepare to be unprepared –
Love your thoughts on preparation, beth!
