Yesterday, on Say Something Nice Day, I encouraged people to say something nice on Twitter/X (which isn’t known for being something nice).

.
I love when people say something nice sincerely.
Do you see something nice in my other images for today?

.
I always have something nice to say about my dentist, because for me every day is I Love My Dentist Day.
I hope I’ll have something nice to say today about the new floor where I’ll be working at the hospital and I hope people will have something nice to say at tonight’s Open Mic, where I plan to perform my original song “Triggers.”
.
It’s easy for me to say something nice about nice people like YOU!

Nice to see you here today and every day, Ann, for more than a decade!
Always nice to see you, my friend!!!
I hate to pat myself on the shoulder, but I usually always have nice things to say to others, both on and offline. Sometimes I make an effort to compliment one stranger a day on something (at least those days I leave the house!). Egos are fragile — nothing better than sharing positivity to those around you!
You deserve many pats on the shoulder for being so nice, Claudia!
Hi Ann,
My father, despite his abusiveness, said “if you do not have anything nice to say, say nothing at all”. I really try to live by that. I have a better filter now.
What the heck is “yell ‘fudge’ to the cobras in America” ?
American Indigenous People’s Day!! I am all about it. First Nations!
Our republic owes a debt of gratitude to the Native Americans
Hi Stan,
My mother said the same thing, and i think she was quoting the rabbit in “Bambi.”
In response to your excellent question, this is what I found:
Founded in the early 1990’s by renowned holiday creators Thomas and Ruth Roy of Wellcat Holidays, this holiday gets the Cobras slithering south. As everyone knows, Cobras hate fudge, and the mere mention of the word gets snakes to gag and slither away. On this day, people from North America go outside, point themselves south, and yell “fudge” at noon local time. Could it be that this ritual keeps Cobras from living in North America? Sure, there are Eastern coral snakes in North America, which are also known as American Cobras, but these are not real Cobras!
How to Observe Yell “Fudge” at the Cobras in North America Day
If you are in North America on June 2, go outside when it is noon, face south, and yell “fudge!” You will be doing your part to make sure Cobras do not advance and take over North America. Any Cobras that have already made it to North America will turn around and go home. Another way to keep the Cobras away is to make and eat fudge on the day. If they smell the fudge they are sure to turn back quickly.
Thanks for your always nice comments,
Ann
Funny! Until he was about 10, my son thought Fudge was a bad word (as I used it in place of the 4-letter word also starting w/ F U * *) Ah Simple times.
Maybe that is why my sister is always making fudge. Keep the snakes away.
I’d like to say thank you to Derek, the guy who lives across the street and who my son hired to mow our lawn this summer, for sometimes bringing my trash bins up from the street and leaving them just outside the garage. Saves me a trip.
That’s nice, Barbara.
I love your dentist too. And I am curious about the “No boat needed” sign.
The sign is outside a yacht club, so I guess there is no boat needed to join, which is nice.
