I don’t watch horror movies because there is enough horror we have to deal with in real life.
Many people I know are avoiding the news because of their horror of what is happening in USA politics.

.
Horror is also on my mind today because of the Daily Bitch Calendar.

.
I ‘m sure that Kansas City fans had looks of horror on their faces when they were watching last night’s Super Bowl.
Because I have a horror of falling on ice, I’m going to wear these on my boots today:

.
Let’s see if there’s any horror in the rest of my images for today.

.
Here’s what I find when I search for “horror”on YouTube:

Now I understand much better why so many people like horror movies. I do have a horror of how people in power can exploit fears to divide and control people.
Thanks to all those who help me deal with horror every day, including YOU!

I like the way you get a grip, Ann.
You help me get a grip in the midst of all this horror, my friend.

OMGosh!
I have not seen a Half time show in all my years. Probably dates back to my HS and College playing days. Halftime I was in the locker rooms going over what went well and what needs to improve. Even games I attend, I do not stay around to see the half time. I go to the restroom and maybe get a drink. Stretch my legs.
As far as horror goes, I am the guy who was asked to be quiet or leave because I laughed too loudly during The Exorcist (director’s cut). I don’t know but most horror is laughable because, as you mention, the horrors in the world are much worse. Any more, I find myself in my “smiling phase because nothing can phase me” mindset. And the LOL part is going to come when the MAGAs realize they are the unsuspecting gazelle at the watering hole and the lioness is downwind. And I will laugh out loud in their faces. Telling them to be careful what they wish for.
Thanks for another awesome comment, Stan.
most horrors never happen, luckily. and when they do, we do what we can to fight them off
We will fight horrors together, beth.
I have a constant horror of forgetting something important that I had promised to do and totally forgot. I also have a little horror of the court cases succeeding so much that the FF is unable to do all the damage he had planned and so the MAGAs never experience that damage, resulting in their continuing support. That horror almost but not quite outweighs the horror of his succeeding in ignoring the courts, plunging the entire country into despair.
Lots to feel horror about these days, Barbara.
This weekend I watched Radioactive, a movie about the life of Marie Curie. Scenes of some of the horrors of radioactivity, including Hiroshima and the Chernobyl disaster, reminded me how terrifying real life can be.
Real life horror is much more horrifying than horror movies, my friend.
