Day 4398: Nothing

Sometimes I feel like there’s nothing to say, nothing new under the sun, nothing to look forward to, or nothing we can do about injustice.

Then I remember there’s always something, and that’s everything.

Whenever I run into a glitch, I mutter, “It’s always something.” So even if “something” means that your printer is offline because you’re too blind to figure out the barely visible symbols on the front panel (what IS your problem, HP? Afraid to muck up your perfect gray surface with garish indicators?), it’s not nothing. There’s always something.

  3. At the end of Monty Python’s Life Of Brian Eric Idle says, “You’ve come from nothing, you’re going back to nothing. What have you lost? Nothing!” I’m trying to make something of the something in between, though.
