I’m sure I’ve already written an “Awkward!” blog post, but I don’t feel awkward about that.
I do feel awkward about
- asking for what I want,
- saying “no,”
- confronting people,
- expressing anger or disappointment,
- mistakes,
- keeping track of changing technology,
- forgetting things I used to be able to remember,
- revealing “too much” (whatever that is), and
- having incomplete lists.
Do you see anything awkward in today’s images?

I do feel a little awkward bragging that I’m a social worker on World Social Work Day.
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “awkward!”
.
I don’t feel particularly awkward asking for comments about this “Awkward!” post.
Thanks to all who help me feel less awkward, including YOU!

I don’t worry about incomplete lists as I see them as ever evolving in their natural state
I see you as ever evolving, beth.
Love the picture of the Asterix and Obelix books!! I grew up reading them, they are simply fantastic!!
I love knowing that!
As a matter of fact, I just dreamed an awkward moment last night. I got up before a large assembly to give a speech. There was a particular part of it that I was very proud of writing and was looking forward to giving it. But I couldn’t find that part anywhere. The whole thing was just some kind of dry historical infodump. To make matters worse, when I went through the pages looking for the good parts that I remembered, it turned out that they were nothing more than a huge fluffy white comforter that I was flipping over and over.
And then there’s the time I went to introduce a boyfriend and blanked on his name, but we’ve all done that, right?
I don’t feel awkward when i confess that I can relate, Barbara.
So much of what I’ve learned to do at work I’ve had to teach myself so when I’m asked to teach others I know I feel awkward and have trouble articulating it. But I want to share what I know. I finally realized what I have is performance anxiety and I Googled ways to overcome that. I really didn’t expect to get so many results for Viagra and that was really awkward.
Somehow I feel less awkward when I read your comments, Chris.
I admire social workers a lot. You do provide a great service! xo
Thank you, Carol Anne!
