Day 4033: Warmth

During the cold days of winter, I’m looking for warmth.

I don’t find any warmth in the news or in forecasts about the future. However, I do find warmth in watching episodes of The Yorkshire Vet and in caring connections with others.

Do you see warmth in any of my images for today?

.

I’m looking forward to warmth from my EMDR therapist at 3 PM and a concert with Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard at 7:30, despite the forecasted frigid temperatures.

Here’s what I find when I search for “warmth” on YouTube.

.

After that finished playing, YouTube chose to share the warmth of Tara Brach with me in this video:

Warm thanks to all who help me create warmth in this daily blog, including YOU!

  1. kitty warmth is never-ending. and a great blanket, book and warm and soft clothes, don’t hurt either

  2. I find warmth knowing that my dear wife Karen and I replaced our old furnace, Ann, in time for this cold snap.

  3. Fuzzy socks and polar fleece in a snug house. Wish all were so advantaged.

  4. I believe the word “aprication”, which means “to bask in sun”, was invented for cats. Hot food also reminds me of Les Murray’s poem ‘Vindaloo In Merthyr Tydfil’ that ends:

Oh it was a ride on Watneys plunging red barrel
through all the burning ghats of most carnal ambition
and never again will I want such illumination
for three days on end concerning my own mortal coil
but I signed my plate in the end with a licked knife and fork
and green-and-gold spotted, I sang for my pains like the free
before I passed out among all the stars of Cilfynydd.

My husband and I recently finished watching the first 9 seasons of The Yorkshire Vet. We couldn’t find any more seasons available at this point (or maybe not on the channels we subscribe to). Then we caught up on season 3 of All Creatures Great and Small, just in time for the release of season 4, which we’ve almost finished.

    • It gives me a sense of warmth knowing that you and your husband have also been watching The Yorkshire Vet. Thanks, Debbie!
