  1. I get what the experts are saying about empathy, Ann.

  2. empathy is an incredibly important part of our human connection

  3. I often respond to people who step on my toes with, “Don’t worry about it. They grow back,” and a smile.

  4. Hmmm. I’m never gonna get my brave story up here, am I? I even tried doing it in two parts – so shorter. Just won’t take. Oh, well. Maybe I’ll just put it on my website and post that. 🙂

  5. I like that saying! And it is so true, too!

  6. The power of empathy is incredible. Just think about how we couldn’t build civilization without empathy, which is the basis for cooperation and understanding.

  7. Ah, empathy… so much more than sympathy! One looks on and says, “poor you!” The other looks in and senses the pain and feels it, too.

  8. I don’t think we fully appreciate the need for cultivating empathy until we have encounters with those who are lacking in it. 🙀
