Day 3915: Where to go next

Because there are so many possibilities of where to go next, I sometimes have trouble making decisions about that.

At this point, the best I can do is accept where I am now and get a clearer idea of what I want and need, which can guide me to where to go next.

I want and need to

  • stay true to myself,
  • express my passions and talents,
  • filter out what’s important to me from what’s important to other people, and
  • connect with those I trust.

Can you see where to go next in my images for today?

.

I like that I’m writing about where to go next on Escapology Day, since I would like to escape restraints, too.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “where to go next.”

Where to go next? To gratitude (on World Gratitude Day).

  1. spin the wheel of fortune and choose the next place

  2. You write that you want to filter out what’s important to you from what’s important to other people. I wonder if that is more difficult for compassionate and empathetic people, especially therapists?

Aquarium filters filter out detritus but they also use the detritus to generate a cycle called the nitrogen cycle that turns unhealthy toxins like ammonia into a healthy system that helps plants grow and makes the water safe for fish. Maybe your filter, even if it sometimes feels overloaded, helps you be the wonderful, supportive, curious and creative person you are.

  3. I remember a year or so ago when I sat here trying to define a feeling I had that I wasn’t sure I recognized. I finally came up with “happy.” I’m an old lady who lived a life that may not have been always wise but was always a choice, that brought me many friends and memories to fill a dozen books if I had the energy to write them, and if I don’t always feel entirely welcome in my son’s life at this stage, perhaps that is my next journey – in understanding, at any rate. Even writing this, I stumbled on a new insight. Thank you. 🙂

  4. I am so glad you and Joan found each other, Ann. Kindred spirits with a quest for seeking the interesting that lies around each corner!

  5. Ann, this is a good music video in this post! I hadnt heard of them! Glad I did though it was awesome!
