When I asked this weird question on a weird social media site last night, somebody asked me to define “weird.”

Weird is in the eye of the beholder, isn’t it? When I was a weird child with a weird heart condition, I thought weird was a bad thing. Now I think weird is wonderful.
Here’s a definition of “weird” from Merriam-Webster:

.
The word “weird” is weird because the usual rule is “I after E except after C.” I don’t see any “C” in weird.
Do you see anything weird in my images for today?

.
There are many weird things on YouTube and here is one of them.
.
Is it weird that my husband Michael and I were talking about this Weird Al parody yesterday?
.
Thanks to all who help me create this weird daily blog, including YOU!

That Cheetos garment is definitely weird. And the person who came up with Xcretes: very clever.
It takes a very clever person to know another one, Debbie!
I’ll take that Jane Eyre shirt if he’s too chicken to wear it out and about. And I don’t remember exactly who said it, Hunter S. Thompson comes to mind, but a motto of a cohort of mine is, “When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.”
Thanks for the weirdness.
You bought matzo meal in the summer? What are you making?
I like that Weird Al tribute to Nirvana.
It’s not matzo meal. It’s matzo farfel. I have it for breakfast with oat milk and blueberries. And I like that Weird Al tribute too!
Oh my gosh, I knew it was farfel. I just messed up because I had problems logging in on my laptop. Where is my brain? Still, I think of farfel as a Passover item. But I’ve never heard of it with oat milk and blueberries at any time of year. It sounds delicious!
💕
I just bought some foil tape for AC ducts. Here’s something weird: duct tape is not made to be used on ducts. It’s weird that I also spent a couple of hours in a cramped crawlspace repairing ducts.
This is also weird:
Thanks for sharing the wonderful weirdness, Chris.
I bought a small wooden monkey for my kitchen shelf. hope it gets along with the other tiny creatures there
Life is weird and wonderful.
Lotsa examples of weird here! Yes, I’ve always thought weird was a weird word, too!
Quirky can be fun, Ann.
