I love action films (especially Jackie Chan and Indiana Jones movies), so I asked this question last night on Twitter:

.
There was a lot of action on Twitter in response to that question.

.
Do you see any action in my other images for today?

.
That post on Threads is generating some action there — I’ve gotten several new followers this morning and shared more pictures of Joan, including this one:

Joan wants more action outdoors.
Here’s the first thing that shows up when I search for “action” on YouTube. Yay!
.
I look forward to the action in the comments section, below.
Thanks to Jackie Chan, Joan, and everyone else who takes action in their lives, including YOU!

The wonderful leads running for each other to end the fantastic Licorice Pizza is a chase scene on foot I cherish, Ann, though there are many aspects of that big field set up beforehand that are so wonderful as well.
I’ve seen only a handful of action movies (I’m more of a rom-com fan). I did, however, immediately think of the action sequence mentioned by Barbara S, with Indiana Jones and the pistol vs the twirling swords. I thought it was a brilliant scene at the time and was surprised to find out years later about Ford requesting it when ill.
Yeah, I forgot about Ford requesting it (for very good reasons) and now I feel bad about the scimitar guy too. I also love all of the action scenes in Lord of the Rings. But I do get tired of chase scenes through bazaars when no one cares how many vendors they wreck (I’ve traveled with a vendor to Dead shows) and have taken to muttering, “Well, so much for the furniture,” when fight scenes start indoors somewhere. And a lot of recent (last 20 years or so to me) action scenes are like kalaidoscopes – I can’t tell the good guys from the bad or figure out who’s doing what to whom. I just settle back and wait until the dust settles.
I loved die hard, the James Bond movies, old Jackie Chans, caper movies chases, such as in the Thomas Crown affair…
I’m not a fan of action movies at all!
I’m just not into them!
I just saw the new Indiana Jones movie today, but I think one of my favorite action scenes might be the end of Bringing Up Baby with Cary Grant on a swaying ladder next to a brontosaurus skeleton.
I think Joan is the queen of the action, attraction, and reaction! What a cute image of her!
I don’t know how to find Threads and I am not sure if I want to join a new social media platform. I am boggled by the ones I am on!
But….would…. Still have no idea where it is!
It’s an app you put on your phone. You can’t access it from your laptop.
