Day 3608: What I’ve learned

What I’ve learned in my longer-than-expected life includes the following:

  • If I’m open to it, I can learn from everything and everybody.
  • We are stronger together than on our own.
  • Even though I often dread writing, I can still write a blog post every day for (almost) 10 years.
  • Nature, music, animals, and connecting with others can be as therapeutic as medicine.
  • There are 8 billion people in the world, and many of them are kind.
  • Not as many people in the world are toxic narcissists, but they sure do cause more damage and make more noise.
  • I can alienate somebody by asking them, “What have we learned from this?”
  • I can survive alienating somebody and also everything else I’ve encountered (so far).
  • Even though I may struggle making decisions, my decisions are good enough.
  • I always have pictures and words to share with you, no matter what.

.

What have we learned from this?

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “what I’ve learned.”

Thanks to all who have learned much in their lives, including YOU.

I always learn something from your blog!

  4. “To thine own self be true.”
As long as I’ve come to know you through your blog, that quote, I feel, is accurate and honoring. Most can’t say the same.

  5. I did not know that “what have we learned from this?” is a question that could alienate anybody!

  6. A few years ago I got a box of eight different kinds of baklava. I already knew I loved baklava but that gift just confirmed that I love at least eight different kinds.

  7. I’ve learned on Twitter that there are so many truly clever people “out there,” and that I can really care about total strangers!
