During these trying times, I’m trying to
- be a good mother,
- help people cope with anxiety and depression,
- remain positive,
- stay safe,
- stay healthy,
- overcome my resistance to doing tasks I want to avoid (like our taxes),
- understand people’s irrational behaviors,
- be kind,
- watch the Olympics,
- read,
- balance my needs with other people’s needs,
- set and maintain healthy boundaries,
- create another great presentation about my groups,
- be an ally for social justice,
- reduce my carbon footprint,,
- figure out how to celebrate National Toothache Day, and
- identify a common theme for today’s images.

We’re also trying to maintain a good environment for our gregarious cat Joan and our shy cat Harley.
Here’s “Trying” by The Staves.
What are you trying during these trying times?
As always, I’m trying to express how grateful I am to all who help me create these daily blogs, including YOU.

Trying to keep up with comments and responses
Same!
🙂
What is a carbon footprint, Ann?
If you click on the text in the blog that says “carbon footprint” that will go to an explanation. I’m always trying to do that — include explanatory links within my posts.
Joan looks poised to facilitate your next group.
She’s trying!
I’d rather celebrate National Bagel And Lox Day, but National Toothache Day has a great mascot in a figure from Wells Cathedral. I’m trying to remember what Wells Cathedral looked like on the inside when I was there but all I can remember are the swans. And this guy:

Thanks for trying to leave a great comment, Chris, and — as usual — succeeding!
I celebrated National toothache day without even realising it – had a dental appointment at 11am!
And I have a dental appointment tomorrow at 8 AM!
Not at 2.30?
No!
Good. To be avoided at all costs!
I hope this will make you laugh, Ann, it sure did me! I was looking at your photo with Joan at your “Coping and Healing” white board. And I read it “Coping and Heaving.” I guess that tells you where I am! But I’m trying to balance out. 🙂
That made me laugh, Debra! Thank you.
I am trying to wake up each day and see what happens.
I’m trying to do the same, my friend!
I’m trying to catch up today, Ann.
I appreciate that, Mark!
