Day 4853: Syncretize

What do you think “syncretize” means?

.

Every day, I syncretize differing things to create these blog posts.

Ready, set, syncretize!

..

Every day, there’s so much to syncretize.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “syncretize.”

.

Thanks to all who help me syncretize every day, including YOU!

I spend a lot of time trying to syncretize religious belief with my own secular view of history and culture. That is, I am very interested in religion as a belief system that baffles me encased in a religious system that makes a bit of sense. The church as an organizing principle capable of disseminating the ideals of love, hope, and charity (yeah, faith too) to a wide audience. All while belief in an overarching “god” totally escapes me. Except that I understand the need for an unquestioned authority. Without which – I just don’t know. Is it needed? Am I missing something?
