Day 4503: Steps

In my therapy sessions, we talk about achievable next steps. It’s often helpful when people think of these next steps as baby steps, especially when they are changing old patterns and habits.

Yesterday, when I was taking many steps in my neighborhood, I saw this:

.

What steps do you see in my other images for today?

.

I’m not finished yet. Here’s another one of my favorite jazz tunes: “Giant Steps” by John Coltrane.

.

What steps are you taking these day?

Thanks to all who help me complete the steps for creating this daily blog, including YOU!

  1. all about the baby steps!

One step at a time has gotten me through everything from complicated projects to walking down the hall when my back is killing me. Luckily, though, I’ve never had to do 12-steps. 🙂 My steps always have to be in multiples of 5. 🙂

  4. I like a lot of jazz but right now I want to take a step back and reread James Baldwin’s “Sonny’s Blues”. It was the first thing that helped me really understand jazz as more than music: it’s being in the moment, expressing what you feel, and it’s cooperative. We need jazz.

  5. Beautiful flowers and good books & tiny or big steps & jazz. All wonderful
