Day 4256: Seen and Heard

From my work as a psychotherapist, I know that people need to be seen and heard.

Thanks to our fabulous hosts (who were celebrating their 40th anniversary yesterday), my son and I felt seen and heard as we saw and heard many wonderful things in Vancouver, including the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia.

As we get ready for our departure back home tonight, what is being seen and heard in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “seen and heard” on YouTube:

Here is a brief video of some young people who were seen and heard at the Museum of Anthropology yesterday:

Thanks to all who are here for this seen-and-heard blog post, including YOU.

  1. Ann, we have been enjoying our visit with you and Aaron SO much! And especially the two magical concerts in our living room, one with audience participation. You are even warmer and more wonderful in person.

  2. I agree, it feels good to be seen, and heard! Safe trip back home Anne!

  3. it looks like your were both seen and heard and that you had a wonderful time

When I was in Vancouver about 5 years ago, I was struck by how many tall (and not so tall) glass buildings had a greenish tint, which is still apparent in your photos. Green everywhere I looked. Did that strike you too?

I think I visited the same museum when I was in Vancouver awaiting the departure of our cross-Canada train the next day. As for seeing and hearing, I both saw and heard polar bears, and here is the proof:

Oopsies. Guess I did that wrong. https://www.barbarasbookhouse.com/PolarBear

  7. I’m so glad your friends could be seen and heard by you and other friends of theirs on a wonderful anniversary!

  8. It appears as if Canada goes a long way toward making sure its First Nation people are seen and heard, Ann, and that’s a good thing. Also, your host friends’ family seems so comfortable seeing and hearing what their comfort zone has to offer. Happy Anniversary!
